Naro-Fominsk, Russia

Naro-Fominsk area - one of the largest and most dynamically developing areas of capital region with the developed industry and an agriculture. Despite of developed industrial and agrarian sectors the area of Naro-Fominsk is considered economy one of most ecologically pure (clean) zones of Moscow suburbs. Third of all area is occupied with large forests. The territory of area is distinguished with a favourable geographical position. It railway and automobile roads of federal value (M3 "Ukraine" Moscow - Kiev and a distance of a way of the Kiev direction of the Moscow-Smolensk railway), ring railway (with large sorting unit - station Bekasovo) and automobile (A-107 MMK) roads. At northern and western borders of area there pass railway and automobile roads of federal value Moscow - Minsk.

The area of Naro-Fominsk is located in a southwest of the Moscow area. Borders on Podolsk area (in a southeast), Odintsovo and Ruza areas(in the north), Mozhajsk (in northwest) and with the Kaluga area (in a southwest). The area of Naro-Fominsk is formed in 1929. The area of region - 1929 sq. km. Extent (from northeast on a southwest) - 110 km. The population of area - 168 thousand person, including city - 81,7 thousand person. Quantity (amount) of settlements - 295. Cities and settlements of city type - Naro-Fominsk (57 thousand person), Aprelevka (19,7 thousand person), Selyatino (15 thousand person), Vereya (5 thousand person), Alabino, Kievskiy, Kokoshkino. Quantity(amount) of rural districts - 13. The basic rivers - Nara, Protva, Pakhra, Desna. Other water objects are presented, basically, small water basins and ponds.

In Naro-Fominsk area about 3 thousand enterprises of mechanical engineering, electrotechnical, light, processing, food and wood industries. The agrarian complex, construction, manufacture of building materials is developed. Feature of Naro-Fominsk area is active development of modern technologies by the enterprises of area, fast introduction of a various sort of technological and administrative innovations, active investment activity. In area at participation of administration it is created and effectively the association of businessmen, in structure of which - representatives of large and average business, heads of small enterprises and private (individual) businessmen works.
